Happy 4th of July!!

Yesterday we went to a celebration party for the 4th of July. There were ducks there that I tried to feed but they were on the other side of the pond. Then we went to sit down with my cousins and I saw a guy on stilts all dressed up. He was juggling some glowing bowling pins. He was really good. 

I had so much fun playing with my cousins. The fireworks were incredible. I felt them right to my heart. My favorites were the ones that spiraled out after they exploded. Zade loved it and Micah fell asleep on Dad, he was so tired. 

Today we are just hanging out and may find another fireworks display tonight. 

I love SCIENCE!

I saw a frog dissection video today. Two of them, actually. I learned about how amphibians can breath through their skin, which means they have smaller lungs. I have held a toad before and it peed on me, because that is one of their defense mechanisms.

Classic Book #1

Mom says that classic books are best. Learn from the masters. We have started reading The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis.

YouTube is my Favorite

I love to use YouTube as a way to do school. I have learned so much about tornadoes, bees, insects, whales, sharks, whirlpools, fish, SketchUp, all kinds of science and so much more because of YouTube.

Another present I got was an archaeology set. I had so much fun with breaking into it to find the treasures inside.

Growing Crystals - or Not

I got a crystal growing kit for my UNBirthday Party and went for it to see how they would grow. I was so excited!

Pulling Weeds

I was pulling weeds in my garden and noticed something unusual sticking up out of the dirt. It was a new kind of flower! It was one that you can make any kind of food out of. And that flower made every single kind of food tasty, better than any other one. 

I took it out of the garden and made something out of it. Then I shared my recipe with one of my friends, Julian.
